FILM, TV, GAMING, & MUSIC
A busy week for entertainment news, so here is another post for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy...
FILM
* Hugh Jackman might be in the upcoming X Men: Days of Future Past. He made a cameo in X Men: First Class, and being a main cog in the X Men universe, this move makes perfect sense. Thanks to Borys Kit at HollywoodReporter. Full story right here: X Men & Wolverine back together?
TV
* "30 Rock" star Alec Baldwin does not back down. His stalker was arrested again, and the New York Post politicized the story. Alec shot back, saying,"...shame on them for politicizing a criminal case ... and shame on the morally bankrupt partisan trash Andrea Peyser..." The full article, thanks to Jordan Zakarin at EmpireOnline, can be seen here: Alec Baldwin Rips NY Post.
* Charlie Sheen has offered Angus T. Jones, the kid from "Two and a Half Men," a role on "Anger Management." All of this started this week when Angus called the show he stars in "filth," and urging viewers to stop watching it. A nice wrap up of the story can be found courtesy of HuffingtonPost, right here: Charlie Sheen tries to lure embattled kid star from Two and a Half Men.
GAMING
* More Wii U news, as company president talks about Nintendo's new 3D Zelda. Full story, courtesy of Richard George at IGN, right here: Nintendo's Relentless Quest for Success
MUSIC
* Dr. Dre, thanks in large part to the massive success of Beat By Dre, has now becoming the highest paid musician, according to Forbes. By the way, Bieber made a cool 55 million. Thanks to Zack O'Malley Greenburg for the full list, found here: 25 Highest Paid Musicians

Tarantino released the final trailer for Django Unlimited, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Christopher Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson. It is out Christmas Day.
THE FINE ARTS
* Check out the work of John Nolan. His color contrast is amazing, and his compositions are solid:
You can see and purchase more of his work here: NolanArt
* Venice, CA; a former epicenter of Beatnik culture that now attracts 16 million visitors a year. Yet, a new bill had to be passed to ensure art could not be sold on the boardwalk which Jim Morrison once got inspiration from. So, what is art? According to the bill, pottery mass produced is not. The main concern here is not driving out local artists as companies such as Google move into the city. Thanks to Hannah Karp at the WallStreetJournal, for the detailed article, found here: Is It Art? On Venice Beach, Police Can Make the Call...

FILM
* First let's start off with the tweet from Director Bryan Singer saying Ian McKellen & Patrick Stewart will be back for the new X-Men movie. They will join the younger versions of Magneto and Professor X, Michael Fassbender & James McAvoy, somehow. X-Men: Days Of Future Past will hit our screens on July 18, 2014.
* Also of major importance is the release of the plot of the new Star Trek movie. No surprise here that director J.J. Abrams has created a far reaching plot with lots of twists and turns. See for yourself what you are in for: Star Trek Plot Synopsis Released. Thanks to Ali Plumb at EmpireOnline for the update.
TV
* If you were a Boy Meets World fan, then you will love this news: Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel(Topanga) have reunited as parents for the new Disney show Girl Meets World, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
GAMING
* The big gaming news this Xmas will no doubt be the new Wii U, but that doesn't mean everyone thinks it will be as groundbreaking as previous Nintendo consoles. To say having a touchscreen which you can control is not innovative is wild. The possibilities abound with this format. And, titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops II will look better on the Wii U, according to Nintendo of America Inc.'s President. GTA V may even be coming to the Wii U. But that hasn't stopped Nolan Bushwell, famous founder of Atari, to say of the Wii U, “I don’t think it’s going to be a big success.” A great article, courtesy of Nick Wingfield at NYtimes, outlines in detail the negative perception Nintendo faces moving forward, and how this console may actually be able to do serious battle with all the new game formats out there. Check it out: Wii U Takes on the Gaming World.
MUSIC
* Soundgarden, lead by Chris Cornell, are reunited, and it looks like they will be doing relevant music, as opposed to many band reunions. They are a band with more grit than the Smashing Pumpkins, more individuality than Stone Temple Pilots, and more hard rock in them than Pearl Jam. Thanks to Mikael Wood at LAtimes for the interview on what really makes this great band tick. Article here: Soundgarden is Back...

TECH & SCI
INNOVATION:
* It's called the Samsung Galaxy Camera, and it could open up a whole new line of smartphones. While it cannot operate at the fast pace of a Galaxy S3, and has no phone service, this first model still manages to blur the line between camera and phone. A data plan could be purchased for $10 a month, and one could use Skype or Google Voice if absolutely needing to make calls. For the photo enthusiast and Professional Photographer, this is worth a look. Thanks to Zach Honig over at Engadget for the in depth review, which can be found here: Samsung Galaxy Camera Looks to Blur the Camera/Smartphone Line...
DISCOVERIES:
* It has now been proven that if you want to eliminate negative thoughts, simply right the negative thought down, and throw it away. The same goes for if you want to reinforce an idea; right it down, and the idea will get magnified in your mind. Thanks to Ohio State University, and in particular Richard Petty at EurekAlert for passing along this truly enligtening study, which can bbe found in detail, right here: Bothered by negative, unwanted thoughts? Just throw them away...
HEALTH:
Thanks to Tiffany Barrett over at CNN Health for this article, found here: 8 Healthy Ways to Boost Energy...
FUTURISM:
* Technology is still exponentially growing, and this has many concerned, including Cambridge University. A new study is being conducted to study just how large of a threat this technology will be. There is a common held belief that there will be a "Pandora's Box" moment when technology begins to create upon itself. Cambridge is one of the oldest of the world's great scientific universities, so I imagine a few conclusions will come from this study. Thanks to Chris Wood at GizMag for making light of this study, which can be found here: Cambridge University Open Terminator Centre to Study Threat Artificial Intelligence May Have on Humans

* In art news, a great and in depth article about the subjective value of high end art is covered. If you remember Damien Hirst's Diamond Skull, it was made with 23.6 million worth of diamonds, yet sold for $100 million. All for a piece of, cough, art, created overnight. From BelieveMag, Rachel Cohen's article can be found here: Art or Hype?

When clapping your hands within the base of a Mexican pyramid, right in the middle, the sound of a local bird called the quetzal is mimicked. Check out the other remarkable findings here: Our Ancestors...Supreme Acoustical Engineers. Thank to Douglas Starr, at DiscoverMagazine, for the article.

* The following is the work of Jean-Pierre Roy:
High scale art auctions have always been the rue of the "true" artist. Many artists feel slighted because the auctions only represent a very small portion of art out there, yet they get most of the headlines.
