THE FINE ARTS

* Time to share a piece by an amazing artist I came across recently:
The artist is Leonid Afremov, and the way he makes use of light is top notch.  His composition is very good as well.  His work can be found, and purchased, here: Leonid Afremov Work

* Art is highly subjective. Jacob Willer has a great article outlining why he thinks some of the top fine artists are undeserving.  What do I think?  I think if a piece has a special value to you, so be it.  But, for art to be assembly lined and forced down the viewers throat does not do the art community much good.  The article can be found here: Has the Upper Crust of Fne Art lost it's Luster?  Courtesy of Standpointmag.co.uk.

* It is my pleasure to help spread Pablo Amaringo's paintings.  Below is a taste of his work.  He is a true visionary, and has influenced my work.  This Peruvian artist passed away in 2009, but his art lives on, and can be found here: Pablo Amaringo's Paintings

FILM, TV, GAMING, & MUSIC

FILM
* Who doesn't like a good(bad) villain in a comic to silver screen adaptation?  Thanks to the Actor himself, Frank Grillo, for posting the update on his Twitter Account for the update.  Story can be found here: Captain America Villian Chosen

* Those of you film buffs in Denver should look forward to the Starz Film Festival, which will be at the Denver Pavilions for the first time, amongst other locations, this year.  Dustin Hoffman's directorial debut, "A Late Quartet," will be the main attraction.  Schedule and info can be found here: Starz Film Festival in Denver

TV
* Via Official How I Met Your Mother Twitter, it looks like Seth Green and Alyson Hannigan are getting together for a mini "Buffy" reunion.  Thanks to Further details can be found here: Mini "Buffy" Reunion

GAMING
* Assassin's Creed Release: Big ups to Leah Jackson at G4 for the info, including a Beginner Strategy Guide, as well as a 15 minute Intro Vid, which can all be found here: Assasin's Creed 3: In Depth Links and Info

MUSIC
*Ah, the old Yoko broke up The Beatles talk is back.  I, for one, think John Lennon did not like The Beatles becoming one big mini corporation, and Yoko expressed that discontent.  Yet, the group members were already going in different directions anyways. Marc Hogan over at Spin has the info, which can be found here:  McCartney says Yoko Did Not Break Up The Beatles

TECH & SCI NEWS

TECH INNOVATION
* Like the idea of sending written notes AND recording audio wirelessly, with one device? Then maybe the LiveScribe Pen is for you.  Thanks to Engadget's editor, Sharif Sakr, for this review.  Check it out here: WiFi Pen

HEALTH
* Proper breathing exercises can relieve a lot of stress, which is the main culprit of disease.  Dr. Weil reveals some easy to understand techniques here at his site: Dr. Weil Breathing Exercises

* Dr. Dwight Lundell, M.D., has some amazing insights on what actually causes Heart Disease.  He has performed over 5,000 heart surgeries.  He has found that "the injury and inflammation in our blood vessels is caused by the low fat diet recommended for years by mainstream medicine."
So what can YOU do?  As the good doc says, "choose carbohydrates that are very complex such as colorful fruits and vegetables. Cut down on or eliminate inflammation- causing omega-6 fats like corn and soybean oil and the processed foods that are made from them."  The In-Depth Article can found here: What Really Causes Heart Disease?

HISTORY
*A Giant Jurassic Period Reptile has been found.  They ruled the seas 150 million years ago. Thanks to Tia Ghose for the article, which can found here:  4X Stronger Bite Than T-Rex

DAILY IMAGES

New Oz poster...I'm guessing this is Mila Kunis as the wicked witch, since she seems to be more capable of the bad girl role than Rachel Weisz.  Of the 3 witches, Michelle Williams is slated as the Good Witch:
More info, thanks to Yahoo on the storyline can be found here: Oz Poster and Storyline Info

More GTA 5 Goodness, this time some pre-order images. Enjoy.

* With the release of Cloud Atlas, cloning is back in the mainstream news.  Benefits are immense if used properly, and irreversible horror if put in the hands of the corrupt.  We are closer than you may think to deciding if to move forward on cloning.  Thanks to Jeremy Hsu, MSNBC.MSN.com, for outlining the pros and cons.  That article can be found here: To Clone or Not to Clone

This out there article can be found here:  Replication of the Human Brain Possible?

The Fine Arts (Week 22.10.12)

*I'd like to start off by sharing the work of G.Columbo
