TECH & SCI

INNOVATION:

* I came across this cool electronic smart-pot for growing indoor plants, flowers, herbs, etc.  It is called Click and Grow, and all you have to do is refill the water reservoir every month or two, and replace  the batteries once a year.  The product, and at a reasonable price, measures all the necessary parameters and supplies an exact amount of water, fertilizer and air, according to the plant’s needs.  In addition to the explanation video, check it out more info here: Click and Grow...

DISCOVERIES:
* Archeology, with a tremendous amount of discoveries lately,  is certainly a benefactor of technological advances.  Check out a year in review of 9 top discoveries for 2012.  Courtesy of GeeksAreSexy.net, the full list can be found here: 9 Important Discoveries in 2012

HEALTH:
* More studies need to be done, but the results of the so called "Brain Pacemaker" appears to greatly ward off the effects of Alzheimer's Disease.  The full article, courtesy of Susan Young at TechnologyReview, can be found here: Brain Pacemaker Tested on Alzheimer's Patients

FUTURISM:
* Commercial space flights by 2020?  That is the plan by Golden Spike, a company full of former NASA employees.  They are saying these flights will be affordable.  We will see.  The full article, courtesy of Amanda Kooser at News.cnet.com, can be found here: Moon to Become Vacation Hot Spot?
