FILM, TV, GAMING, & MUSIC

FILM

* The Hobbit, opening Dec. 14th, will have it's share of critics, due in large part to it's non action opening sequence, followed by more non action leading up to the final battle scene.  Viewers need to keep in mind this is one of THREE interwoven movies coming out, so judge accordingly.  One of the first reviews, courtesy of Todd McCarthy at HollywoodReporter, can be seen here: Review: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

TV

GAMING
* The Wii U has been unfairly criticized, in part to the high expectations people have for Nintendo, and the less than great effort from their previous consoles.  Gamers will have to decide for themselves once a few more titles are out and the full capabilities of the touchscreen controller are incorporated.  Nintendo of America president addressed some of the issues people may have with the Wii U, greatly outlined by Eddie Makuch over at Gamespot.  That article can be found right here:  Nintendo Fires Back at Wii U Criticisms

MUSIC
* Jazz piano legend Dave Brubeck passed away just shy of his 92nd Birthday.  I have his most popular album, Time Out, on my phone for sure.  Here is his most famous song, "Take Five":
